Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build isolated, production-like testing environments that engineers can provision on demand.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, deployment automation, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Support integration, correctness, load, and performance testing workloads.
- Develop realistic data-generation and user-behavior simulation tooling.
- Enable AI coding agents to execute tests, debug, and validate code changes autonomously.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve development velocity, software quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in developer infrastructure, test infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer tooling.
- Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, build systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building and automating developer infrastructure, deployment systems, or testing environments.
- Experience developing or optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Go or Python.
- Ability to balance infrastructure performance, environment fidelity, reliability, and cost.
- Strong collaboration skills and a developer-focused mindset.
- Preferred experience with ephemeral development or testing environments, load or performance testing, distributed test execution, Playwright or Cypress, sandboxed execution environments, or infrastructure supporting AI coding agents.
Benefits
- Salary range is $180,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.
- Hybrid collaboration from Marina Del Rey, California, with in-person work twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
- The company comes together for a full week every two months.
- Relocation to Los Angeles or work from the San Francisco office may be available for the right candidate.
