Base Salary
$108k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software.
- Develop Linux and VxWorks software for embedded multithreaded platforms and integrate it with custom hardware.
- Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineers.
- Integrate software with heterogeneous processor systems, FPGAs, sensors, control interfaces, firmware, and hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test contributions, analyze performance, and prepare systems for deployment.
- Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Travel up to 15%.
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least 5 years of prior experience are typically required.
- An active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance is required on the first day, and U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.
- Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, and software architecture design and implementation.
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
- Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
- Preferred qualifications include Ada experience, C/C++ proficiency, digital signal processing knowledge, linear algebra knowledge, VSIPL or another vector-processing library, MATLAB proficiency, and real-time processing optimization experience.
- Experience with at least eight years of high-performance software implementation and maintenance is identified as ideal.
