Base Salary
$108k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software for deployed DoD systems.
- Develop Linux and VxWorks software across embedded multi-threaded platforms and integrate it with custom hardware, sensors, control interfaces, and FPGAs.
- Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test software contributions and analyze performance.
- Integrate developed components into larger systems for real-world testing and deployment.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Travel up to 15%.
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- At least 8 years of prior experience implementing and maintaining high-performance software.
- An active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance on the first day of employment.
- Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, and software architecture design and implementation.
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems, including systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
- Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
- Strong understanding of computer architectures, networking, device drivers, analog and digital interfaces, and multiple real-time operating systems.
- Preferred proficiency in C/C++ and experience with Ada.
- Preferred familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms, linear algebra, VSIPL or another vector processing library, MATLAB, C/C++ algorithm optimization, and real-time processing optimization.
- U.S. citizenship is required because the role requires a U.S. government security clearance.
