Base Salary

$108k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software for deployed DoD systems.
  • Develop Linux and VxWorks software across embedded multi-threaded platforms and integrate it with custom hardware, sensors, control interfaces, and FPGAs.
  • Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test software contributions and analyze performance.
  • Integrate developed components into larger systems for real-world testing and deployment.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Travel up to 15%.

Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • At least 8 years of prior experience implementing and maintaining high-performance software.
  • An active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance on the first day of employment.
  • Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, and software architecture design and implementation.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems, including systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
  • Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Strong understanding of computer architectures, networking, device drivers, analog and digital interfaces, and multiple real-time operating systems.
  • Preferred proficiency in C/C++ and experience with Ada.
  • Preferred familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms, linear algebra, VSIPL or another vector processing library, MATLAB, C/C++ algorithm optimization, and real-time processing optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because the role requires a U.S. government security clearance.
