Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services for AI agent execution.
- Develop AI agent systems for complex operational workflows using various frameworks.
- Orchestrate a hybrid model stack with commercial and self-hosted LLMs.
- Integrate with clinical systems such as FHIR and EMR.
- Drive observability and reliability using tools like OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
- Design APIs, background workers, and event-driven systems for AI inference.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy AI features and enhance system performance.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Solid understanding of AI systems architecture and experience with AI agents.
- Proven experience in building and scaling backend APIs and microservices.
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design.
- Experience with message brokers and distributed systems.
- Highly adaptable and a strong team player with a quick learning ability.
