
Principal Architect - Embedded C/C++, Linux Kernel(Automotive Domain)

- Define and drive software architecture and technology strategy for automotive connectivity products and platforms.
- Develop end-to-end system architectures spanning embedded devices, cloud applications, and mobile applications.
- Drive telematics software solutions for next-generation computational and connectivity requirements.
- Analyze product, supplier, customer, and technical requirements and maintain traceability to software system designs and architecture specifications.
- Lead hands-on development, testing, evaluation, optimization, troubleshooting, and demonstration of prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
- Define implementation standards, design patterns, deliverables, work packages, and technical roadmaps supporting security and regulatory objectives.
- Lead technical direction and architecture discussions with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare statements of work, proof-of-concept definitions, test plans, analyses, summaries, and customer presentations.
- Support RFIs, RFQs, pre-engagements, customer solution proposals, and new business opportunities.
- Research emerging connectivity and AI technologies, identify improved or lower-cost solutions, and contribute to patents and technical symposiums.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, communications, computer engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in product development, system or embedded software, and connectivity technologies.
- Deep expertise in telematics and communications, including embedded, cloud or edge, and mobile software applications.
- Strong understanding of system-level software building blocks, hardware interfaces, Linux OS kernel, and application layers.
- Proven experience building system designs and architectures and leading end-to-end solutions.
- Experience with technical leadership, software roadmaps, research and development, new software initiatives, and customer or engineering coordination.
- Experience developing and debugging software in real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, and multi-interface environments.
- Ability to conceptualize, design, implement, and test demonstrators and execute projects with little or no supervision.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-interaction skills.
- Basic functional safety understanding and familiarity with machine learning or deep learning SDKs on embedded hardware are preferred.
- A master’s degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience with customer-facing technical and commercial activities, electronic systems design, and strong technical leadership is preferred.
