Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance simulation infrastructure for autonomous vehicle development and validation.
- Build scalable systems for scenario generation, simulation execution, and evaluation.
- Develop simulation tooling for perception, prediction, planning, and controls teams.
- Improve simulation realism, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Build infrastructure for reinforcement learning and closed-loop evaluation workflows.
- Develop synthetic data generation and automated scenario creation systems.
- Integrate learned models into simulation environments with ML engineers and researchers.
- Write production-quality C++ and Python code and contribute to architecture, technical design, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in modern C++, with C++17 or newer preferred, and production software systems development.
- Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency, memory management, performance optimization, software architecture, and system design.
- Experience with simulation, robotics, gaming, or autonomous systems.
- Experience with simulation platforms such as CARLA, Isaac Sim, or Unreal Engine is preferred.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, agent-based or closed-loop simulation, synthetic data generation pipelines, ROS or ROS2, cloud-native infrastructure, machine learning infrastructure, and large-scale data processing is preferred.
- Experience with autonomous driving or robotics, multi-agent simulation, world models, generative simulation, sensor simulation, physics engines, real-time systems, CUDA, OpenGL, Vulkan, or graphics programming is a plus.
