Responsibilities
- Own the AWS infrastructure vending machine and automate multi-region, multi-account provisioning with AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
- Author, test, version, and maintain secure enterprise Terraform modules and translate compliance requirements into Sentinel and SCP policies.
- Embed automated security scanning, policy-as-code enforcement, and cost guardrails into developer pull requests.
- Implement automated active-active failover across availability zones and regions using Cloud WAN, ARC, and FIS, including catastrophic-failure Game Days.
- Integrate provisioning pipelines and AI agents with Slack for ChatOps control and zero-touch operations.
- Use Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to author, review, and validate infrastructure code.
- Build centralized logging, metrics, and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog, and enforce SLOs and SLIs.
- Advise internal teams on observability, alerting, resilience architecture, and reliability best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or platform engineering in large-scale AWS environments.
- Expertise with Terraform state management at scale, module decoupling, and continuous infrastructure-as-code delivery.
- Strong Python or Go programming skills and experience with AWS SDK integrations, including Boto3 or the Go SDK.
- Deep knowledge of AWS IAM, VPC, Cloud WAN, EKS or ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and multi-region active-active disaster recovery.
- Experience with GitOps-driven deployments and automated guardrails in enterprise pipelines.
- Daily hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Gemini.
- Preferred AWS Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty certification.
- Preferred experience with AWS Control Tower, Account Factory for Terraform, custom account vending, chaos engineering, AWS FIS, Gremlin, or Game Days.
- Preferred experience building agentic pipelines or AI-integrated developer tooling.
- Preferred familiarity with Slack platform development, Bolt SDK, ChatOps automation, FinOps, Sentinel, OPA, or Vault.
