Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin and established architectural patterns.
- Implement and maintain Google Firebase services.
- Develop and maintain cross-platform solutions using Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Enhance and optimize existing mobile solutions, including app performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver scalable mobile solutions.
- Write maintainable code with testing and documentation, participate in code reviews, and contribute to development-process improvements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, contribute to architectural decisions, and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Support clients with mobile development best practices and GDS Service Standards where applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing production Android applications with Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform development.
- Hands-on experience with Google Firebase.
- Experience enhancing and optimizing existing mobile solutions.
- Strong understanding of mobile development principles and UI/UX considerations.
- Familiarity with GDS Service Standards is desirable.
- Consultancy or client-facing experience is desirable.
