Responsibilities
- Shape and build business credit card features based on customer needs.
- Own features from data modeling and API design through testing, release, monitoring, and production operation.
- Build Python and FastAPI backend services backed by PostgreSQL.
- Build customer-facing web features with React and TypeScript.
- Contribute to the React Native iwoca Mobile App and Credit Cards CRM when required.
- Learn and apply expertise in card transactions, card processors, and card schemes.
- Use AI coding tools and agentic workflows responsibly, reviewing their output before production.
- Collaborate with product, design, and payments-platform engineers.
Requirements
- Experience building well-tested Python services for customer-facing products and maintaining them in production.
- Experience designing relational data models, ideally with PostgreSQL, and building and integrating APIs.
- Enough React and TypeScript experience to build and ship customer-facing features.
- Experience taking product features from idea to production and owning them after launch.
- Experience building agentic workflows or using AI to scale engineering output, with sound judgment and output review.
- Clear, direct, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: iOS or Android development experience, ideally with React Native.
- Preferred: financial-product or card-payments experience.
- Preferred: production FastAPI experience.
- Preferred: experience building software for operations or support staff.
