Responsibilities
- Develop display drivers and hardware abstraction layers for new display modules on Qualcomm chipsets.
- Enable display functions on new Qualcomm chipsets in coordination with internal and international technology teams.
- Bring up, debug, and improve existing display drivers and display software.
- Triage issues, develop investigation strategies, and work on display features.
- Design workflows, implement code, verify functionality, and release software.
- Follow software processes and contribute to improving software quality.
- Coordinate with technology teams on issue fixes and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related work experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience with embedded systems, including compiling, loading, executing, and debugging firmware images.
- Familiarity with display interfaces and technologies including MIPI DSI, HDMI, and DP.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel, device drivers, and Android/Linux display software stacks.
- Qualcomm platform experience is preferred.
