Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable systems.
- Optimize bottlenecks and enhance system-wide performance.
- Keep the tech stack updated with current standards.
- Write extensible, scalable, and test-driven code.
- Participate in technical planning and architectural decision-making.
- Collaborate on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical spec reviews.
- Mentor interns and junior engineers.
- Advise on technical debt consolidation.
- Identify performance issues and propose solutions.
- Conduct technical interviews to attract high-performing candidates.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails is a bonus.
- Knowledge of full-stack technologies like React, Typescript, GraphQL, and Go.
- Experience collaborating with Product & Design teams.
- Familiarity with relational databases and key-value stores.
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing web application performance.
