Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of high-quality, scalable backend software and distributed services.
- Improve engineering practices through high-quality code, documentation, testing, monitoring, and standardized processes.
- Partner with product and R&D engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve products.
- Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing across distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining complex, enterprise-grade distributed systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing backend services using Python.
- Deep knowledge of backend architecture, pipeline design, and data persistence patterns.
- Practical experience with relational databases and NoSQL or caching stores.
- Strong foundations in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and scalable software design patterns.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with AWS, container orchestration, IAM, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, identity security, posture management, threat detection, or cloud security is a plus.
