Responsibilities
- Support the payments engineering team by learning payment processing fundamentals and payment concepts including refunds, chargebacks, and returns.
- Participate in the software development life cycle, stand-ups, code reviews, and team workflows.
- Learn how AI-assisted development is used across the SDLC.
- Complete training and gain introductory experience with monitoring tools.
- Shadow the operations team on production support activities.
- Participate in professional development sessions, networking, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.
Requirements
- Be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology.
- Have a current GPA of at least 3.0.
- Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
- Be able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities.
- Preferred: basic programming fundamentals in any language and willingness to learn Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Preferred: strong analytical and communication skills and comfort asking questions in a fast-paced technical environment.
