Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, secure, operate, and troubleshoot production Kubernetes environments across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Design and maintain self-service internal developer platforms and automated delivery pipelines.
- Write modular, declarative infrastructure using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
- Build and standardize CI/CD and GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing to support high availability and observability.
- Lead platform workstreams, architectural design reviews, and technical roadmaps for client teams.
- Advise client stakeholders on platform strategies, technical tradeoffs, cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and container security.
- Mentor client teams and serve as a trusted technical partner.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience running and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production, including orchestration, ingress, service meshes, networking, storage, Helm or Kustomize, RBAC, and network policies.
- Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly with Terraform.
- Experience establishing enterprise-grade CI/CD automation and GitOps deployment strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and tracing frameworks.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills in English with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Backend software engineering experience with Java/JVM, Go, or Python is a strong plus.
- Experience authoring custom Kubernetes Operators or CRDs is a strong plus.
- Experience with Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, Trivy, Falco, Kyverno, or OPA/Gatekeeper is a strong plus.
