Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, validate, and deploy cybersecurity automation content, platform configurations, and tooling integrations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot owned automations, integrations, and configurations as upstream platforms, vendor products, and data sources change.
- Support implementation and configuration of vendor-provided and internally developed CSOC products.
- Document solutions through SOPs, runbooks, and task-level documentation.
- Engage CSOC functions to understand underlying problems and identify process re-engineering opportunities.
- Identify and escalate automation, technology, and control gaps across the environment.
- Represent the PTO team in APAC and collaborate with regional stakeholders and senior team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a related technical role such as detection engineering, security engineering, or incident response.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automations on a low-code/no-code platform such as SOAR.
- Moderate Python skills sufficient to build, understand, and maintain automation content.
- Practical exposure to SOC technologies including EDR, threat intelligence platforms, email analysis, malware sandboxing, network intrusion detection, and data loss prevention.
- Experience with data storage and retrieval systems such as SIEM, databases, or data lakes.
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to analyze complex technical and operational problems, identify process improvements, learn new technologies, and communicate clearly in English.
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization.
- Preferred: Python or scripting skills for custom integrations and vendor API work.
- Preferred: hands-on administration or engineering experience with SOC product categories.
- Preferred: experience applying version control or CI/CD practices to automation content.
- Preferred: familiarity with GenAI tools for triage, summarization, or investigation workflows.
