Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated Playwright tests for web functionality, user workflows, and regression coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated API tests with Bruno and/or Postman covering REST services, payloads, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.
- Build scalable frameworks for functional, integration, end-to-end, smoke, and regression testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid defect feedback.
- Collaborate with Agile teams and mission stakeholders on acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and automation strategies.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts from requirements and system specifications.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and document defects in tools such as Jira.
- Support test data management, environment configuration, and testing across development, integration, and staging environments.
- Establish reusable automation standards and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.
- Ensure testing aligns with customer security requirements, quality standards, and program objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in software test automation, quality engineering, or software development emphasizing automated testing.
- Hands-on experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated UI tests with Playwright.
- Experience using Bruno and/or Postman for API test development and validation.
- Strong TypeScript and/or JavaScript programming experience for test automation.
- Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for modern web applications.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, authentication, and API validation.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Agile software development teams and source control systems such as Git.
- Ability to analyze requirements, develop test scenarios, troubleshoot application issues, and document defects.
- Understanding of functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and negative testing methodologies.
- U.S. citizenship, an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination are required.
- Preferred qualifications include DoD or Intelligence Community experience, advanced Playwright skills, Bruno CLI, Postman Collection Runner, Newman, API schemas, OAuth 2.0, JWT, role-based access controls, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, SQL, security testing, quality dashboards, BDD, TDD, GEOINT applications, and relevant testing or security certifications.
