Salesforce Technical Architect (Education Cloud)

- Lead discovery and definition workshops, scope development, estimates, requirements documentation, and solution design.
- Architect, develop, deploy, and support Salesforce Education Cloud and related CRM and workflow solutions across the full implementation lifecycle.
- Design transformational technology solutions for education customers in partnership with clients, partners, sales teams, delivery managers, and internal services teams.
- Lead and mentor project development and QA teams and provide progressive technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, LWC, J2EE, APIs, triggers, flows, and related technologies.
- Design integrations between Salesforce and other business systems and support AppExchange deployments and new Salesforce instances.
- Ensure testing, performance monitoring, maintainability, best practices, and alignment with business expectations.
- Develop proofs of concept, assist with complex coding tasks, and lead initiatives that expand the consulting practice and knowledge base.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing technology solutions and 8+ years working on deployment teams, ideally using Agile development techniques.
- Extensive education-sector experience, including Education Cloud projects implementing student lifecycle journeys and knowledge of recruitment, admissions, onboarding, career readiness, and alumni processes.
- Proven success delivering enterprise CRM implementations and leading teams through complex solution analysis, design, and implementation.
- Strong Salesforce.com integration experience and hands-on expertise with Apex APIs, Apex triggers, Apex classes, Apex web services, APIs, AppExchange deployment, and Salesforce implementations from scratch.
- Strong experience with OmniStudio, Business Rules Engine, Experience Cloud integration, Lightning, Visualforce, Flex, and LWC.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Education Cloud data models, customer journeys, DevOps, and release management for large-scale transformation projects.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, and modern web and mobile technologies.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Education Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud certification is requested; Agentforce and Data Cloud experience are preferred.
- Experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or NotebookLM to improve implementation productivity is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams.
