Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant microservices for real-time and batch data processing.
- Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs focused on scalability and reliability.
- Design and implement data models and queries for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Lead data quality initiatives to ensure data consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate platform requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive technical standards and best practices for code quality and testing.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers through code reviews and discussions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience focused on backend and data engineering.
- Proven experience designing and operating distributed data systems using microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor engineers.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments with evolving requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive complex projects to completion.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies and NoSQL databases.
- Experience developing backend services using modern languages like TypeScript and Node.js.
