Responsibilities
- Lead one or two engineering squads and own software development and delivery.
- Develop high-performing, highly scalable full-stack software solutions and product features.
- Own complex problems spanning multiple services and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
- Guide system design, architecture, technical discussions, documentation, and test planning.
- Drive prioritization decisions, product trade-offs, and delivery of features on or ahead of schedule.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities to engineers.
- Improve automation, defect metrics, product quality, testing, and software development processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend short-, mid-, and long-term changes for distributed systems.
- Coordinate with global Mastercard groups and technical and business stakeholders to build consensus.
Requirements
- Hands-on full-stack development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tier system design and architecture.
- Experience with microservice architecture, messaging or event-driven frameworks, and cloud-native development environments.
- Experience leading the full product development lifecycle, including technical design, documentation, task planning, and test-plan architecture.
- Experience driving product delivery, operational excellence, performance analysis, production metrics, and functional and non-functional testing.
- Demonstrated expertise with root cause analysis in multi-tier distributed systems and risk-balanced technical decision-making.
- Extensive experience with enterprise tooling and processes across the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas and build consensus across organizational and team boundaries.
- Experience using AI tools and adapting to new technical skills.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, stakeholder coordination, and written and oral communication skills.
