Base Salary

$82k - $113k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test AI tools and automations that address business problems.
  • Work directly with business users to understand workflows, gather requirements, and incorporate feedback into prototypes.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues and maintain code documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to ensure code quality, usability, and adoption.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Integrate AI tools with existing business systems and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain software systems for aerospace applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2+ years of software development experience.
  • Basic proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript or a similar scripting/application language used for AI and automation development.
  • Ability to work directly with non-engineering business stakeholders.
  • Conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices and familiarity with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Preferred: internship or cooperative education experience in software development.
  • Preferred: exposure to the aerospace and defense industry and interest in learning aerospace and defense business processes.
  • Preferred: understanding of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and scripting for API integration.
  • Preferred: experience gathering requirements directly from end users and familiarity with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies and familiarity with data structures.
