Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-grade CLI tools using Golang and/or TypeScript.
- Build command-line experiences for API governance, review automation, developer workflows, and platform operations.
- Create extensible plugin architectures and SDKs for internal and external consumers.
- Design software distribution strategies for macOS and Windows.
- Build release pipelines, package managers, installers, auto-update mechanisms, and version-management solutions.
- Implement telemetry frameworks measuring adoption, usage patterns, performance, reliability, and feature engagement.
- Ensure telemetry collection follows privacy, compliance, and enterprise governance requirements.
- Develop authentication, configuration, and credential-management capabilities for developer tools.
- Build integrations with GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD systems, IDEs, and developer portals.
- Create documentation, tutorials, examples, and developer onboarding experiences.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and platform-wide engineering initiatives.
- Drive reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability across the tooling ecosystem.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Golang and TypeScript/Node.js.
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade CLI applications.
- Deep understanding of software packaging and distribution technologies, including Homebrew, npm, standalone binaries, installers, and containers.
- Experience implementing telemetry, analytics, and usage instrumentation within developer tools.
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, metrics collection, logging, and observability best practices.
- Experience with release engineering, CI/CD automation, and artifact management.
- Strong understanding of API design, OpenAPI specifications, and developer experience principles.
- Experience building SDKs, plugins, extensions, or developer productivity platforms.
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms including OAuth, API keys, and enterprise SSO integrations.
- Experience working with cloud-native and distributed systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive technical decisions.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
- Preferred experience includes developer platform engineering, AI-assisted tooling, agent-based workflows, software supply chain and artifact distribution, cross-platform desktop tooling, open-source tooling ecosystems, enterprise telemetry and analytics platforms, and API governance and developer portals.
