Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain KDB+/q components supporting real-time data capture and analytics.
- Deliver software enhancements through requirements, development, testing, release, and production support.
- Investigate production and data-quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and backfill or recovery workflows.
- Optimize q queries and data pipelines for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Partner with traders, quantitative strategists, and regional technology teams in a front-office environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of KDB+/q experience with large financial datasets in Unix/Linux environments.
- Understanding of KDB architecture and production time-series data workflows.
- Experience supporting process-oriented production systems.
- Ability to work directly with front-office users in a fast-moving environment.
- Python scripting or automation experience is preferred.
- Snowflake experience is preferred.
- Experience with equities electronic trading systems is preferred.
