Base Salary
$230k - $316k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evaluate deep learning models for multimodal classification and reasoning tasks involving time-series, audio, video, and sensor data.
- Conduct the full research lifecycle, including stakeholder discussions, data collection, annotation, preprocessing, model training, and rigorous evaluation.
- Prototype models in Python using PyTorch and TensorFlow and implement mid-training and post-training improvements.
- Apply knowledge distillation to transfer reasoning capabilities from larger models to smaller, efficient models.
- Develop multi-agent orchestration, task decomposition, and complex reasoning workflows.
- Document experiments and results through internal reports, blog posts, and publications in top-tier conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience releasing software products with a strong record of AI/ML success.
- 6+ years of experience releasing AI/ML products.
- PhD in AI or a related field such as NLP, computer vision, or speech processing.
- Strong publication record in venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, or CVPR.
- Expertise training, post-training, and evaluating transformer-based models, including architecture modifications, training dynamics, and optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning such as GRPO, policy optimization, and advanced post-training techniques for reasoning models.
- Experience implementing and modifying transformer architectures, including encoder/decoder variants, attention mechanisms, and positional encodings.
- Knowledge of Chain-of-Thought, agentic tree search, continual learning, multi-agent orchestration, and task decomposition.
- Experience with static multi-agent frameworks such as LangGraph and dynamic multi-agent harnesses.
- Ability to adapt to new research directions and explore JEPA training, world models, diffusion-based generation, and agentic harnesses.
