Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, maintain, and improve secure and scalable Linux VDI infrastructure.
- Support remote visualization platforms and distributed Linux environments across on-premises, HPC, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, self-service, and policy-aware automation capabilities.
- Resolve incidents and sophisticated infrastructure or application challenges, perform root-cause analysis, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Improve platform availability, security, performance, user experience, dependability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong experience supporting Linux systems in shared, distributed, production, HPC, engineering, or enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting Linux VDI or remote visualization platforms such as OpenText/Rocket Exceed TurboX or Citrix, with familiarity with ThinX, HDX, PCoIP, or related protocols.
- Practical scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, GitLab CI/CD, REST APIs, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and automated deployment practices.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack, including secrets management, Vault, or serverless automation.
- Familiarity with HPC workload management tools such as IBM Spectrum LSF or comparable schedulers and enterprise engineering access platforms.
- Understanding of production support, incident response, blocking-issue resolution, root-cause analysis, documentation, continuous service improvement, SRE practices, capacity management, AIOps, self-healing services, and toil reduction.
- Certifications or experience in Linux system administration, DevOps, AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, large-scale infrastructure deployments, multi-cloud environments, software development practices, or cloud-native ecosystems are preferred.
