Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, prototype, and productize automotive in-car infotainment audio algorithms across the cabin audio signal chain.
  • Apply AI/ML methods to audio enhancement, scene classification, model-assisted estimation, and training dataset creation where beneficial.
  • Own algorithm requirements interpretation, design, simulation, development, validation, tuning, and production readiness.
  • Implement and optimize algorithms on ADI DSP and ARM-based SoC platforms for real-time performance and memory efficiency.
  • Integrate audio algorithms into automotive embedded software stacks and support system-level integration and verification.
  • Debug issues across algorithm, firmware, and platform layers and validate behavior in real vehicles and reference systems.
  • Collaborate with systems, firmware/platform, QA, product, and customer teams to refine requirements and support integration.
  • Use AI-enabled and agentic productivity tools for coding, testing, documentation, and automated analysis.
  • Document design, configuration, guidelines, and verification evidence in structured automotive development processes.
  • Develop innovative solutions for customer audio-system problems and contribute patentable intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronics and communication, computer science, signal processing, embedded systems, or an equivalent background, with 8–10 years of experience in audio signal processing and AI-enabled algorithm development on embedded platforms.
  • Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills for real-time and performance-critical development.
  • Experience applying AI/ML methods and tools to automotive noise cancellation and audio applications.
  • Strong embedded-systems fundamentals, including RTOS concepts, concurrency, timing, and debugging.
  • Experience developing and integrating software on ADI DSPs and ARM-based SoC/ASSP platforms.
  • Experience translating algorithms to embedded implementations, including floating-/fixed-point considerations, latency budgeting, memory and performance profiling, and platform-aware optimization.
  • Automotive audio infotainment or cabin-audio software experience is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on familiarity with acoustic echo cancellation, voice enhancement, road or active noise cancellation, beamforming, sound zones, in-car communication, or related cabin audio processing is preferred.
  • Practical experience with AI/ML techniques in signal processing or audio enhancement, such as feature extraction, classification, or learning-based estimators.
  • Exposure to MATLAB-based modeling and simulation is valuable.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, ownership, and multitasking skills.

Benefits

  • The role requires approximately 10% travel.
  • This is a 1st Shift/Days position.
  • Applicants may be subject to export licensing review when accessing controlled technical data, with exceptions for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and protected individuals.
