Responsibilities
- Define, develop, prototype, and productize automotive in-car infotainment audio algorithms across the cabin audio signal chain.
- Apply AI/ML methods to audio enhancement, scene classification, model-assisted estimation, and training dataset creation where beneficial.
- Own algorithm requirements interpretation, design, simulation, development, validation, tuning, and production readiness.
- Implement and optimize algorithms on ADI DSP and ARM-based SoC platforms for real-time performance and memory efficiency.
- Integrate audio algorithms into automotive embedded software stacks and support system-level integration and verification.
- Debug issues across algorithm, firmware, and platform layers and validate behavior in real vehicles and reference systems.
- Collaborate with systems, firmware/platform, QA, product, and customer teams to refine requirements and support integration.
- Use AI-enabled and agentic productivity tools for coding, testing, documentation, and automated analysis.
- Document design, configuration, guidelines, and verification evidence in structured automotive development processes.
- Develop innovative solutions for customer audio-system problems and contribute patentable intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronics and communication, computer science, signal processing, embedded systems, or an equivalent background, with 8–10 years of experience in audio signal processing and AI-enabled algorithm development on embedded platforms.
- Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills for real-time and performance-critical development.
- Experience applying AI/ML methods and tools to automotive noise cancellation and audio applications.
- Strong embedded-systems fundamentals, including RTOS concepts, concurrency, timing, and debugging.
- Experience developing and integrating software on ADI DSPs and ARM-based SoC/ASSP platforms.
- Experience translating algorithms to embedded implementations, including floating-/fixed-point considerations, latency budgeting, memory and performance profiling, and platform-aware optimization.
- Automotive audio infotainment or cabin-audio software experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on familiarity with acoustic echo cancellation, voice enhancement, road or active noise cancellation, beamforming, sound zones, in-car communication, or related cabin audio processing is preferred.
- Practical experience with AI/ML techniques in signal processing or audio enhancement, such as feature extraction, classification, or learning-based estimators.
- Exposure to MATLAB-based modeling and simulation is valuable.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, ownership, and multitasking skills.
