Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain virtual storage and data management products.
- Develop end-to-end backend features for new products and enhancements to existing products.
- Debug low-level systems issues involving core dumps, memory, threading, and performance.
- Design and deliver high-quality solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain code quality and maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in systems programming with C and/or C++.
- Ability to use gdb or lldb and debug core dumps, memory issues, and threading issues.
- Solid understanding of filesystems, block I/O, caching, snapshots, replication, RAID, I/O consistency, and failure handling.
- Experience with Linux internals, networking fundamentals, and performance profiling.
- Hands-on experience developing and debugging distributed, highly available systems.
- Ability to independently drive ambiguous technical work and solve complex problems.
- Preferred: experience with VMware ESXi, KVM/QEMU, storage virtualization, cloud infrastructure, AWS, Azure, GCP, NVMe, iSCSI, NFS/SMB, S3/object interfaces, multipath or high-availability setups, and performance engineering.
- IC roles typically require a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
