Responsibilities
- Act as the software expert for software and computer-related issues reported from customer e-beam machines.
- Analyze Field feedback, diagnose symptoms, identify root causes, and provide troubleshooting recommendations.
- Develop diagnostic tools for log collection, system health checks, issue reproduction, data analysis, and root-cause investigation.
- Build module test software supporting communication, test execution, result analysis, and validation workflows.
- Contribute to software involving module communication interfaces, image processing, and image algorithm validation.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested diagnostic tools, test utilities, backend components, and integration software.
- Collaborate with Field, equipment specialists, architects, application teams, and software teams to resolve customer-impacting issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on programming experience with Python and C++.
- Experience with a GUI framework or library such as Qt, PySide, WinForms, or WPF.
- Experience or exposure to image algorithms, image processing, and general algorithms.
- Familiarity with RS232, Ethernet, PCIe, device communication, and related computer or equipment interfaces.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux driver concepts and system-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows and Linux environments.
- Preferred experience with e-beam, semiconductor, motion, imaging, or other high-tech equipment; image processing; motion diagnostics; hardware interfaces; remote troubleshooting; or customer escalation support.
