Responsibilities
- Maintain and scale Freshful’s AWS cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Implement security measures and governance policies, including policy writing, control enforcement, and periodic compliance reviews.
- Administer Kubernetes infrastructure and manage daily operations and longer-term capacity planning.
- Monitor application performance and infrastructure health using Grafana, Prometheus, and other observability tools.
- Track and optimize cloud costs.
- Manage vulnerabilities and implement cloud-, network-, and data-protection security controls.
- Integrate tools for risk analysis, vulnerability detection, prevention, and remediation.
- Write infrastructure as code with Terraform and develop scripting and automation.
- Participate in production incident response and manage scoped tasks or projects through a prioritized backlog.
- Participate in a one-week-at-a-time on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or DevSecOps role.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience; GCP or Azure familiarity is a plus.
- Proficiency with Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Go.
- Experience administering and operating Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and Istio.
- Understanding of network-level security controls and cloud security best practices.
- Experience managing vulnerabilities and implementing security governance policies.
- Proficiency using AI tools in daily work.
- Strong communication, initiative, and self-prioritization skills.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and service mesh architectures is a plus.
- AWS DevOps or equivalent cloud certification is a plus.
- Ability to proactively identify risks and drive improvements is a plus.
