Base Salary
$96k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based applications, scalable microservices, and high-performance transaction systems.
- Develop and support event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka and messaging architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex production and system issues and report critical issues clearly and proactively.
- Support system architecture and perform hands-on development as needed.
- Collaborate with product, project, and distributed teams on estimates, planning, design sessions, updates, and delivery.
- Conduct peer code reviews, mentor junior developers, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience and 10+ years of overall industry experience.
- At least 3+ years of U.S.-based experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with web services, microservices architecture, Apache Kafka, event-driven systems, and messaging architectures.
- Experience with Struts, Spring MVC, ESB technologies such as Camel and Fuse, and authentication protocols including OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID.
- Experience developing front-end components with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks.
- Experience with Git, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, and Oracle SQL.
- Knowledge of system design, architecture, security best practices, independent prioritization, and complex technical problem-solving.
- Preferred experience with Azure configurations, AWS, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Airflow or similar data processing tools, and healthcare, Medicaid, claims, pharmacy benefits, or insurance platforms.
