Responsibilities
- Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions.
- Build scalable Python automation frameworks and utilities for UI, API, integration, and system testing.
- Automate web application UI testing with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright and REST service API testing.
- Create and execute manual test cases for UI and backend applications.
- Apply test design, test data management, assertions, and validations.
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation and review colleagues’ coding, testing, and documentation.
- Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
- Use Jira and generate test summary reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience is typical for this level.
- Strong hands-on Python experience, including object-oriented programming, modular design, data structures and algorithms, package management, and dependency handling.
- Experience building scalable applications and utilities.
- Experience with at least one Python-based automation stack, including PyTest, unittest, Selenium WebDriver, or Playwright.
- Experience automating UI, REST API, integration, and system testing.
- Understanding of BDD/TDD concepts, test data management, assertions, and validations.
- Experience with Jira and test summary reporting.
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered.
