Responsibilities

  • Design scalable data pipelines and high-performing data platforms using Hadoop, Ab Initio, Exadata, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Design data services supporting Strategic Enterprise Risk Management and create data models and structures for application and platform integration.
  • Lead complex modeling and analysis efforts across multiple business domains and support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain data architecture for multiple applications using established software architecture principles.
  • Gather technical and business requirements, scope projects, and lead design efforts through production implementation.
  • Research and resolve production issues to support system stability and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and internal business leadership on high-risk data engineering challenges.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to data engineering staff during design, testing, and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Five years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines with Hadoop, Ab Initio, Exadata, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience performing complex data modeling and analysis in a data warehouse environment.
  • Strong experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks and big data tools for large-scale data processing.
  • Experience implementing data services and platforms in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
  • Ability to design data services supporting Strategic Enterprise Risk Management functions.
  • Ability to make decisions in complex data engineering scenarios involving multifaceted data relationships.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and internal business teams to resolve high-risk data challenges.
  • Experience leading multiple modeling and analysis efforts with broad organizational impact.
  • Ability to act as a technical resource and mentor to data engineering staff.
