Responsibilities
- Design and implement privacy-preserving systems for Apple Services Engineering products.
- Develop frameworks and tools to collect analytics data across Apple platforms, web browsers, and third-party platforms.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of client instrumentation capabilities and create detailed instrumentation specifications.
- Design, launch, support, and technically implement data infrastructure for complex analytics needs.
- Advise business and engineering stakeholders as a subject-matter expert on data collection and analytics impacts.
- Collaborate with product managers, client and server engineers, data scientists, business analysts, privacy engineers, attorneys, and QA.
- Lead discussions with privacy and legal teams to align analytics requirements with consumer privacy protections.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, technical product manager, or engineering-focused management consultant.
- At least 5 years of professional experience with data or analytics systems, frameworks or toolkits, or technologies including Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, TypeScript, React, Angular, Ember, or Vue.
- Strong software design skills and deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to help create and enforce privacy and compliance policies and guidelines.
- Ability to work with large, distributed cross-functional teams and translate ambiguous analytics questions into concrete engineering requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and program-management skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferred experience with privacy-enhancing technologies for large-scale distributed systems, differential privacy, private data synchronization, data minimization, tokenization, and cryptography.
