Senior Staff Software Engineer - Delta

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for Databricks workspaces and Delta Lake write-path operations.
- Build high-QPS, low-latency, reliable, and performant platform services that can support future growth.
- Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
- Design architectures, influence the product roadmap, and own new projects from planning through delivery.
- Introduce automation and operability tools and help prevent and investigate production issues.
- Plan and lead complex technical projects involving multiple teams.
- Mentor engineers, lead sprint planning, delegate assignments, and improve team coding practices and system designs.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, including real-world applications.
- Experience driving company initiatives toward customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related major, or equivalent experience.
