Base Salary

$75k - $156k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
  • Design autonomy and real-time algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
  • Develop embedded software based on prototype algorithms.
  • Integrate and test software with robotics platforms and execute software tests against requirements.
  • Analyze designs and test results to demonstrate performance, identify problems, and develop solutions.
  • Derive task-level or component-level requirements from system requirements.
  • Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
  • Track priorities, scope, schedule, and cost while participating in team meetings and communicating assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 3–5 years of software engineering or related experience is required.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or related tools.
  • Foundational knowledge of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control technology.
  • Strong background in control systems theory and knowledge of real-time software development tools.
  • Experience designing, developing, and validating real-time algorithms and software.
  • Knowledge of task and motion planning, robotics-platform integration and testing, hybrid AI-based autonomy methods, and optimization or resource allocation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
  • Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
