Base Salary
$75k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
- Design autonomy and real-time algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
- Develop embedded software based on prototype algorithms.
- Integrate and test software with robotics platforms and execute software tests against requirements.
- Analyze designs and test results to demonstrate performance, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Derive task-level or component-level requirements from system requirements.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, presentations, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Track priorities, scope, schedule, and cost while participating in team meetings and communicating assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
- 3–5 years of software engineering or related experience is required.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or related tools.
- Foundational knowledge of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control technology.
- Strong background in control systems theory and knowledge of real-time software development tools.
- Experience designing, developing, and validating real-time algorithms and software.
- Knowledge of task and motion planning, robotics-platform integration and testing, hybrid AI-based autonomy methods, and optimization or resource allocation is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Master’s degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
