Responsibilities
- Build messaging, orchestration, networking, and mission-management software connecting autonomous vehicles to command-and-control systems.
- Develop resilient, distributed software services that integrate with Lattice OS and coordinate multi-vehicle operations.
- Take software from initial development through fielded deployment, collaborating with hardware, systems, and program-management teams.
- Deploy, debug, and test software on physical systems in laboratory and test-site environments.
- Support mission software across concept simulation, live operations, and large-scale fleet management.
- Travel up to 30% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of production-grade C++, Rust, or equivalent experience in a Linux development environment.
- Experience building low-latency, high-performance software solutions.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Track record of high ownership and bias for action.
- Preferred: experience with systemd, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, DDS, k3s, or STIG’d RHEL.
- Preferred: familiarity with government reference architectures and knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
- An active Secret U.S. security clearance is preferred.
