Responsibilities
- Lead the local Deploy Platform team and provide technical leadership for the strategic private-cloud infrastructure.
- Design, build, maintain, and support the private-cloud Kubernetes platform.
- Define and implement engineering standards, patterns, and guardrails for Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, automation, observability, and secrets management.
- Integrate the Kubernetes platform with on-premises infrastructure, management tooling, deployment pipelines, security controls, and low-latency exchange environments.
- Deliver reusable platform services including development environments, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and deployment workflows.
- Provide hands-on leadership for production changes, incident response, problem resolution, and out-of-hours platform support.
- Guide application teams in deploying and operating workloads and improving production readiness.
- Review and approve technical designs, configurations, and code changes for production and non-production environments.
- Maintain platform and application security through controls, hardening, vulnerability management, and operational resilience.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to improve engineering standards and knowledge.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or production infrastructure roles.
- At least five years of hands-on experience deploying, managing, and supporting Kubernetes clusters and container platforms, preferably including Red Hat OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure.
- Deep practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm for infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management.
- Broad knowledge of application architecture and services including DNS, load balancing, high availability, multi-site deployments, security tooling, and observability.
- Ability to lead complex technical delivery, evaluate alternatives, make sound engineering decisions, and influence stakeholders.
- Experience operating production platforms with disciplined change management, incident management, risk awareness, and strong documentation practices.
