Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support the private cloud Kubernetes solution based on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Extend the private cloud platform by deploying commercial, open-source, and internally developed solutions.
- Integrate Kubernetes with on-premises infrastructure and management tooling.
- Deliver platform services including development environments, secrets management, and observability.
- Provide out-of-hours live support for the private cloud environment.
- Assist application teams with developing and deploying applications on the private cloud.
- Support virtual machine migration and operation on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Deploy configuration and code changes across all environments, including production and the low-latency exchange platform.
- Maintain platform and application security during development and deployment.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and containers.
- At least three years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure as code, or automation tools.
- Good understanding of on-premises hosting infrastructure, including x64 servers, networking, and storage.
- Experience managing infrastructure as code and using automation tools.
- Broad knowledge of application architecture and services such as DNS, load balancing, high availability, multi-site deployments, and security tools.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki is desirable.
- Experience with secrets managers such as HashiCorp Vault is desirable.
- Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab is desirable.
- Experience with Helm, Ansible, or Terraform is desirable.
- Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions and deployment pipelines is desirable.
- Java, Python, and shell scripting experience is desirable.
- Linux server management experience, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Fedora, is desirable.
- Experience deploying to AWS, GCP, or Azure is desirable.
- Knowledge of IP networking, including multicast, and low-latency application deployment is desirable.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, proactive, accountable, and problem-solving skills.
