Base Salary

$163k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and support AI-enabled workflow and automation solutions across collaboration platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud-native environments.
  • Develop secure backend services, scripts, integrations, and orchestration logic using Python and JavaScript-based tooling.
  • Build event-driven workflow components and integrate solutions with IT service management, HR, CRM, content, reporting, SaaS, and internal API systems.
  • Analyze and redesign manual, spreadsheet-heavy, macro-driven, or legacy business processes into scalable and reusable automations.
  • Implement prompt logic, tool orchestration, exception handling, validation, human-in-the-loop controls, logging, telemetry, and evaluation mechanisms for AI-enabled workflows.
  • Evaluate whether requests should use platform capabilities, configuration, low-code/no-code options, or custom engineering.
  • Create reusable services, templates, accelerators, reference implementations, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Partner with product, technical program management, security, privacy, identity, and business stakeholders on transformation initiatives.
  • Support pilots, deployments, validation, cutover, hypercare, production troubleshooting, and resiliency improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in workflow engineering, automation engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise application automation in a complex corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience analyzing, redesigning, and automating complex business processes across multiple systems and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience modernizing legacy or manual workflows into API-driven, event-based, or automation-enabled solutions and supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or JavaScript-based tooling, backend automation, workflow logic, integrations, webhooks, connectors, and orchestration patterns.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into business workflows and familiarity with prompt design, exception handling, validation, and supportable AI-assisted process design.
  • Experience with logging, telemetry, monitoring, or evaluation for automated or AI-enabled workflows in production or near-production environments.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, access control, secure integration practices, SaaS platforms, cloud applications, version control, testing, and release management.
  • Strong systems-thinking, technical documentation, debugging, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Preferred experience includes Google Workspace administration and APIs, Google Apps Script, AppSheet, legacy macro or SharePoint modernization, Gemini, Glean, AskGM, Databricks, cloud-native workflow components, pilot deployments, cutover planning, hypercare, reusable automation components, and Google Cloud or Google Workspace certifications.
