Responsibilities
- Help define the scope of platform services and establish a delivery-readiness framework for successful deployment.
- Define service-readiness criteria, operational documentation, enablement assets, service standards, quality measures, SLAs, and operational best practices.
- Ensure product services align with product releases and engineering roadmaps and are operationally ready before release through field testing and QA.
- Partner with Product Engineering to operationalize new platform capabilities and manage technical documentation and version control.
- Identify enablement requirements for partners, CDP, and ASP stakeholders and assess software-release impacts.
- Develop service automation, tooling, runbooks, and operational procedures to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead continuous-improvement efforts using automation, simplification, and standardization.
- Lead Platform Services Engineer staff, apply program-management governance, collaborate with stakeholders and leadership, and serve as a technical SME for the Implementation Center of Excellence.
Requirements
- Strong experience in product engineering, infrastructure, or cloud environments.
- Understanding of product lifecycles and operational service design.
- Experience building automation and standardized operational processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise products including storage, cloud, virtualization, and networking.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Terraform and Python.
- Ability to design scalable, repeatable service models rather than one-off solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills across architecture, product, and engineering teams.
- Strong documentation and asset-management skills, including version control.
- Knowledge or experience with continuous-improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma is preferred.
