Responsibilities
- Contribute feasibility estimates and assess software safety implementation risks.
- Refine software safety requirements, detailed designs, and verification cases.
- Implement, review, integrate, and document safety-related embedded software.
- Develop safety mechanisms, diagnostics, monitoring, fault handling, and safe-state logic.
- Create production code, unit tests, static-analysis evidence, structural coverage, and fault-injection support.
- Apply defensive programming, coding guidelines, and freedom-from-interference controls.
- Maintain requirements traceability and resolve safety anomalies through documented impact analysis.
- Support controlled maintenance fixes, safety-impact analysis, and release evidence.
Requirements
- 8–16 years of experience.
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with Embedded C/C++, microcontrollers, AUTOSAR, RTOS, and debugging.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 Part 6 fundamentals, MISRA C/C++, unit testing, and static analysis.
- Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and Automotive SPICE.
- Understanding of watchdogs, memory protection, communication monitoring, and diagnostics.
- Preferred: model-based development, MC/DC, fault injection, safety analysis, and certified functional-safety training.
