Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, performance, interoperability, stress, compliance, manual, and automated tests for PCIe switches.
- Develop test strategies with silicon, architecture, and firmware development teams.
- Perform signal integrity and protocol-level validation, including PRBS, loopback, margining, and OOB testing.
- Collect and analyze PCIe analyzer traces to triage and debug issues with development teams.
- Estimate work, identify dependencies, develop schedules, and manage requirements and traceability through software development phases.
- Communicate plans and status to hyperscalers and Tier 1 OEMs, address escalations, and deliver on SLAs.
- Validate NIC and storage controllers as needed.
- Mentor and coach team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science is required.
- At least 4 years of experience is required; a master’s or PhD in electrical engineering is preferred.
- Experience testing PCIe switches and a solid understanding of the PCIe protocol are required.
- Strong Python scripting skills are required.
- Experience with manual and test automation development is required.
- Knowledge of PCIe trace collection and analysis, PRBS testing, loopback, margining, OOB testing, MCTP, I2C, and SPDM is required or preferred as stated.
- PCIe compliance testing experience is a plus.
- Experience validating NIC controllers and storage controllers is preferred.
- Strong Git, Jira, and Confluence skills are required.
- Strong collaboration, issue triage, customer communication, and mentoring abilities are expected.
