Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve scalable enterprise test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
- Lead migration of automation frameworks, test suites, and infrastructure onto modern testing platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation engineers and SDET teams.
- Automate web applications with Playwright and C#/.NET, including framework design, tooling, infrastructure, and parallel execution.
- Perform REST API, service validation, integration, database, backend consistency, and end-to-end data-flow testing.
- Design and maintain ephemeral and containerized test environments integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive shift-left testing, continuous testing, automation strategy, and quality engineering practices.
- Review automation code and execution reports for quality, maintainability, performance, standards adherence, discrepancies, and failures.
- Implement distributed and parallel test execution capabilities and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply AI-assisted workflows, agentic AI patterns, prompt engineering, evaluations, and guardrails to intelligent automation features.
- Create technical documentation, standards, architecture diagrams, and Confluence documentation.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, architecture, QA, data, platform, and stakeholder teams.
Requirements
- A BS in Computer Science and/or equivalent is preferred.
- 8–15 years of hands-on experience in SDET, automation engineering, software development engineering in test, or quality engineering is preferred.
- Strong experience designing enterprise automation frameworks and scalable automation infrastructure.
- Expertise in C#/.NET, object-oriented programming, Playwright, REST API automation, database validation, and service-layer testing.
- Experience with Docker, ephemeral environments, CI/CD integration, shift-left testing, distributed applications, and systems architecture.
- Understanding of HTTP/REST APIs, web services, network communication, TLS, security concepts, and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, build management systems, cloud-native platforms, DevOps practices, source control, and project management tools.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and AWS services or platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Active Coding practices, modern software engineering standards, and clean code principles.
- Ability to evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and automation strategies aligned with current industry trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
