Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an automation strategy aligned with testing and development goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium.
- Lead automated testing for functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize test execution and reliability.
- Review coding practices, enforce automation code quality standards, and eliminate flaky tests.
- Investigate defects and collaborate with software developers to resolve issues and improve programs.
- Lead, mentor, and train automation engineers on testing and automation best practices.
- Collaborate with QA teams and stakeholders on test plans, coverage, testing strategy, and release planning.
- Maintain documentation covering issues, resolutions, and automation-process improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Lead QA Automation Engineer driving end-to-end quality and automation strategy.
- Strong coding expertise and the ability to design scalable, reusable, clean, testable, and maintainable automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium and structured automation framework development.
- Deep understanding of API automation, schema validation, and integration testing.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across UI, API, backend, and environment layers.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline creation, version control, and environment configuration.
- Strong working knowledge of Jira for test planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Understanding of AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms for test execution, environment setup, and tooling integration.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted automation tools such as self-healing tests, AI-driven script generation, and Copilot.
- Exposure to ETL/ELT testing and basic OWASP knowledge are additional skills.
