Responsibilities
- Design, create, maintain, and optimize applications using Spring Boot, React, and the Microsoft/Java technology stack.
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and functional technical solutions.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, messaging integrations, queues, and asynchronous event-driven systems.
- Design and migrate MySQL and PostgreSQL schemas while optimizing queries and database performance.
- Participate in Terraform infrastructure-as-code efforts and deploy applications across AWS environments.
- Secure APIs using OAuth2, Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
- Support CI/CD, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and application observability.
- Maintain, upgrade, and refactor existing codebases to improve efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with product, QA, business analysts, US-based stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams.
- Mentor peers, conduct technical research and internal training, investigate production issues, and support continuous improvement.
- Prepare implementation plans, document test results, participate in code reviews and Agile sprints, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux/Reactor.
- Strong experience with React, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap-based responsive interfaces.
- Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or AWS SNS and event-driven patterns.
- Practical experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and SSM.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization.
- Testing experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of performance, security, best practices, and design patterns.
- Experience with web services; WCF or .NET familiarity is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include fintech or payments knowledge, Terraform and multi-environment infrastructure experience, reactive programming with Mono/Flux, OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing, multi-tier distributed applications, Agile/Scrum experience, and strong communication skills.
