Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Node.js backend services and API integrations for content-managed web experiences.
- Develop REST APIs and GraphQL or gRPC integrations.
- Build React components, content blocks, reusable UI components, and dynamic forms.
- Develop and optimize Next.js server-side rendering and static-site generation workflows.
- Implement content models and manage schema changes in a headless CMS.
- Integrate third-party APIs and troubleshoot end-to-end data flows.
- Support personalization and A/B testing capabilities.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Use AI-assisted development for implementation, testing, productivity, and troubleshooting.
- Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and stability.
- Participate in Git-based development workflows and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Approximately 4–5+ years of software engineering experience is preferred.
- Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, backend development, and React experience.
- Experience with Next.js or a similar server-side rendering framework.
- Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and GraphQL or gRPC integrations.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and using a headless CMS such as Contentstack, Contentful, or Strapi.
- Experience building reusable UI components and dynamic forms.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD and experience with ESLint, Prettier, or similar code-quality tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted development practices in day-to-day engineering work.
- Experience supporting personalization and A/B testing; enterprise experience is strongly preferred.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Emotion or another CSS-in-JS approach, Storybook, Chromatic, accessibility testing, design systems, Koa, Express.js, Redis, performance and caching optimization, and Google Maps integrations.
