Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs supporting core product workflows.
- Identify platform bottlenecks and deliver reliability, performance, and development-velocity improvements with founders and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure, databases, deployment pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Contribute to architectural decisions shaping the platform’s long-term direction.
- Investigate production incidents and improve monitoring and observability.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Backend Engineer working on production infrastructure, deployment systems, or core platform services.
- Experience shipping or maintaining production systems at scale and resolving incidents or outages.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong backend fundamentals in Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or a similar language, plus experience with databases and APIs.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability tools, message queues, or event-streaming systems.
- Ability to work in an early-stage environment and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
