Responsibilities
- Own agentic-platform problems end to end, from design through production, with significant influence over architecture and code quality.
- Build and operate agent runtimes, durable sessions, sandboxes, tool gateways, evaluations, skills, automations, and related product experiences.
- Work closely with Alaners, product teams, and operations users to build products and platforms that are adopted in practice.
- Own reliability, cost, and security in production.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to Alan’s product and engineering culture and team development.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of software engineering experience with solid backend fundamentals.
- Have depth in at least one of distributed systems and runtimes, evaluation and data quality, security and authorization, or product UX.
- Have built products, platforms, or infrastructure used by other people.
- Bring a strong sense of user and developer experience and the ability to make tradeoffs among speed, reliability, cost, security, and usability.
- Experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, evaluations, or MCP is a strong plus; ML or MLOps experience is also a plus.
- Be fluent in English; French is not required.
- Be self-directed, pragmatic, collaborative, curious, and interested in learning and teaching.
