Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and modernize Java and Spring Boot applications, RESTful and SOAP services, microservices, system integrations, and deployments on Apache Tomcat and Oracle WebLogic.
- Develop responsive and accessible React and TypeScript interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, reusable components, and applicable Section 508 and WCAG requirements.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, data models, schemas, migrations, persistence components, and Jaspersoft or JasperReports reporting services.
- Apply secure coding practices, automated testing, code reviews, vulnerability remediation, dependency upgrades, documentation, and human-reviewed AI-assisted development.
- Diagnose and resolve defects across browser, service, application-server, integration, and database layers.
- Collaborate with product, QA, architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams on design, estimation, implementation, reviews, documentation, and release coordination.
- Use Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows for source control, work tracking, pull requests, builds, deployments, and releases.
- Own assigned features from design through release and modernize complex legacy systems while maintaining production capabilities.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional full-stack software development experience building React applications with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and Java services with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, dependency injection, and RESTful APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Common Access Card.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, exception handling, collections, concurrency, multithreaded behavior, and Maven or a comparable Java build and dependency-management tool.
- Experience with SQL, relational data modeling, enterprise databases, Oracle or PL/SQL, Java persistence technologies, and database-driven application development.
- Experience developing automated unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of secure coding, web application risks, authentication, authorization, session management, role-based access, and secure configuration.
- Experience with Git, pull-request workflows, CI/CD, work tracking, Azure DevOps, and Agile software development environments.
- Experience modernizing legacy Java enterprise applications using technologies such as WebLogic, Tomcat, JSF, JSP, Servlets, Oracle middleware, or comparable technologies.
- Experience with dependency modernization, vulnerability remediation, framework upgrades, Black Duck, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, or comparable tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or Microsoft Copilot with appropriate security, privacy, and human-review practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Okta, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, SAML, XML, JSON, messaging, batch exchange, and customer-managed or access-controlled deployments.
- Experience with microservices, micro-frontends, relational database performance troubleshooting, reporting platforms, and unfamiliar modern and legacy architectures.
- Experience developing, testing, and releasing native Android or iOS applications using Kotlin, Java, Swift, or comparable mobile technologies.
