Responsibilities

  • Create workflow diagrams, identify dependencies and inputs and outputs, and define technical success criteria.
  • Design, develop, and integrate production-ready Cards or Issuing capabilities across backend, APIs, and frontend systems as needed.
  • Add automated tests and observability dashboards with logging, metrics, and alerts.
  • Deploy completed capabilities to production and validate them with real users.
  • Participate in standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Infosec, and other cross-functional partners to understand workflows and validate outputs.
  • Provide bi-weekly project updates and present outcomes in midpoint and final showcases.

Requirements

  • Current student in Singapore studying toward a formal tertiary qualification at a recognized university.
  • Availability for a six-month placement, ideally from January through June 2027, with full-time hours.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to design and implement AI-driven systems that automate workflows and improve customer experiences.
  • Strong system design and critical-thinking skills, particularly for complex financial-services patterns.
  • Track record of writing clean, high-quality, production-grade code and ensuring robust service interactions.
  • Experience with production AI systems and engineering, security, and AI governance best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Preferred: proficiency in Kotlin, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Preferred: familiarity with MLOps, model serving, monitoring, retraining, vector databases, LangChain, Ray, Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
