Responsibilities
- Design and build IAM primitives supporting secure AI-driven agentic experiences.
- Develop user-facing permission models, including custom roles and granular access controls.
- Architect and implement Account Groups and other access-management platform features.
- Own and operate mission-critical, highly available backend services.
- Deliver end-to-end features spanning API design, database modeling, and frontend components.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes while mentoring engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams on product strategy and user experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience for this Staff-level role.
- Experience designing, building, and operating backend services professionally.
- Proficiency in a modern backend language such as Go, Ruby, Java, or similar.
- Ability to solve complex problems in ambiguous environments with a product-minded approach.
- Strong engineering quality standards and experience building resilient, scalable distributed systems.
- Ability to mentor engineers at all levels and support technical leadership development.
- Preferred: experience with IAM, authentication, or authorization systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with React and TypeScript.
- Preferred: experience with developer platforms or infrastructure.
